The entrance is very narrow and the berth are often occupied. On the NE side murings are laid, on all other position you can go alongside.
The situation in Koufonisia is similar to Parianos. Anchors can easily get entangled in the mooring lines also lying around here. If you take a free mooring line, there is always a risk that the owner of the mooring line will return (in the middle of the night) and won’t be too pleased about first having to chase people away from his spot.
The harbour is sheltered but a north wind can generate an unpleasant swell which can rob you of your sleep.
The surrounding small bays and beaches. The restaurant called Captain Nikolas is worth going for dinner. Very fresh food, delicious fish and the prices are reasonable.
What I didn't like:
The entrerence of the harbour is too narrow, There are mooring lines laid at the bottom. Our anchor caught one of these lines. We asked help from local fishermen.
