Drop your anchor as close as possible to the red buoys close to the beach. Otherwise your anchor probably is going to drag.
When anchoring close to the beach, especially with north winds prevailing, use your dinghy to go directly to the beach and do not try to go to the port, because otherwise your next stop might be Crete.
