Lovišće

A popular anchorage and often full in summer, especially when the Jugo wind blows and the south bays of Hvar provide little shelter. There is a swell in the bay when a north wind blows. Not only the Bora but also the Jugo and strong west winds cause significant gusts in the bay. At night strong thermal gusts can sometimes even occur during calm weather. The bay has a few beautiful and well-tended houses and restaurants along the waterfront. Otherwise, the bay with its three arms is mainly uninhabited and untouched.
